Vintage floats and swing tip
I have just bought a job lot of vintage floats and an old swing tip. People who know me will know that I love swing tip fishing and have a growing collection. I am looking forward to receiving this one and will match it up to one of my cane rods. Just need to find a silver coloured end ring with screw adaptor.

ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I have always found the swing tips more sensitive than quiver tips, great for tench fishing, and the fact that you can fish with the rod pointing straight out at the water, rather than at an angle, means that you can fish in very tight swims.
I always have to put up with people walking by and shouting "Your rod's broken mate" but hey ho, you can't have everything.
I think I now have in the region of 50 different swing tips and have a use for each one.
