Today as part of my bailiff duties I visited some local pools and was so disappointed to find mountains of rubbish. I always take a black bin liner with me on my rounds but I could have filled a dozen today.
I just don't understand the mentality of "anglers" who leave so much litter in the water and on the bank when they, by definition, are supposed to be nature loving individuals who love and care for the countryside and their surroundings
I know how you feel mate. Some of them just don't 'get' it. On one of the water I bailiff it is only the bailiffs themselves that do the work parties, and on another it's usually the same old faces who do the work and litter is always a problem..It amazes me how little respect for their surroundings some 'anglers' have. Still, while we keep picking the litter up, they'll keep leaving it. God knows what ther homes are like...Haha, you've got me ranting now.
